The Vicente Calderón Stadium has been the home of Atlético Madrid since 1966, although it was known as the Estadio Manzanares originally. With its seats in the red and white colours of the club and an all-seated capacity of nearly 55,000, it is famous for the atmosphere created by the fans.
If you are travelling by Metro the nearest stations are at Pirámides and Marqués de Vadillo, which are both on Line 5. Pirámides also has a RENFE train station. There are plenty of bus routes that take in the ground – 17,18,23,34,35,36,50,116,118 and 119.
