The new 40,000 seat Esatdi RCDE, in the region of Cornellà and El Prat de Llobregat, and awarded Four Star status by UEFA, is the most modern football stadium in Spain and reflects all that is best in contemporary design.
Designed with every energy-efficient criterion in mind; with superb views from all parts of the ground; with car parking for 3,278 vehicles and with excellent facilities for disabled supporters, the ground was opened by a match between two veteran teams in July, 2009.
The official opening was a game between Espanyol and Liverpool at the beginning of August.
