History Stadium

Anfield is an iconic football stadium known all over the world. The fans provide an electric intimidating atmosphere especially on European nights. The famous Kop Stand is a single tier stand containing almost 10,000 fans and creates a superb atmosphere explaining why the team play towards it every second half when ever possible. Current capacity is 45,000 but the stadium is old and facilities are limited. There are plans to build a new 60,000 stadium close to Anfield with a new single tier 18,000 Kop Stand. You will never walk alone the clubs anthem is to be found written in the main gates and Bill Shanklys statue.
