History Stadium

The City of Manchester Stadium, Eastlands, is a 48,000 seat stadium that makes an immediately favourable impression as you approach it; the centrepiece of what has become known as Sportcity.

Wonderfully converted from an athletics venue, at a cost of £35 million, this bowl-type stadium has three tiers of seating at either side (the East and West Stands), with two tiers at the ends (the North and South Stands).

The West Stand has since been renamed the Colin Bell Stand and many supporters know the East Stand as the Kippax – in memory of the famous Kippax Stand at Maine Road.
