Walk along Tottenham High Road towards the West Stand on match days and you'll pick up a good old-fashioned vibe that it really hasn't changed much over the years. And when things get going you'll hear that despite the tiny 36,300 capacity, it's one of the loudest grounds in the Premier League. In fact, Spurs' supporters are amongst the best, most inventive singers, which definitely adds to the competitive, passionate air.

While the vibe is old-fashioned, White Hart Lane stadium has radically changed. The old copper made golden cockerel still stands proudly on guard over the proceedings but nowadays you are in very much a state of the art football ground.

Spurs became famous for producing 'push and run' football as far back as the 1950s and, under Harry Redknapp's astute leadership, showed signs in the latter half of last season of playing with similar verve and expertise. With lots of ballplaying midfielders such as Jenas, Modric and Lennon and goal poachers of the quality of Robbie Keane and Jermaine Defoe, the signs are good that the team could well be competing for a European place this coming year - which would make the fans sing even louder!
